Graduation!

Guysss! I'm finally done with college! Whoop whoop! College was just a crazy ride but it was one of the best time too; all the sleepless nights, random karaoke session, spontaneous trips and even trips after every semester. Ahhhh, I really enjoy and treasure each and every moment in college. I still remember the first day of college, it is still so fresh in my mind. I remember being really shy, reserved and quiet- which until now, my friends still made fun of me because I am the totally opposite now. But, you can't blame me! It was our first day, I didn't have any friends and I was really just engross in reading and finishing the book. It was honestly a verytough first week for me, as it was a whole new platform. I was exposed to a different culture and everyone came from different part of Malaysia. Slowly but surely though, we became friends and now, good friends. Talking about the memories in college, there are way too many funny and stupid ones. We had s...

Redang Bound!

Image
Been meaning to blog about this for a while now. After our 2days in Kuantan, we woke up around 4am and started our journey driving to the Terrengganu Jetty. It was quite a tiring drive as everyone only got about 3-4hours of sleep. I was awake the whole journey to keep Jin Jie awake. It was quite funny because if you know me well, I don't like quiet and a car ride without conversation, so I would always try to find something to talk about. We reached the jetty around 7am and it was raining! We did not expect the rain at all. When we got onto the boat, the rain only got heavier. The whole ride was so bumpy and shaky; the worst and scariest boat ride ever. It was literally shaking from left to right because of the big waves. It was like this the whole 2 hours ride. Almost 75% of the people in the ferry were throwing up from seasick. It only got worst when we were alomst reaching the island. We had to be transferred to another smaller boat to get closer to the shore. Let...

Kuantan - Redang Trip (Day1 &2)

Image
My college friends and I have been planning on a trip since the beginning of the year! At first, we planed to go to Johor and Singapore, but it was a little too costly. Then, it was Pulau Tioman but it didn't work out too since one of our friend was going to go there for a family trip. In the end, we decided on Pulau Redang! It was a very good and relaxing trip; though some parts of it was like really "gan jeong". We started our journey on a Saturday morning, and by the time we reached Kuantan, it was around 1.30pm. We had chicken rice for lunch and then headed back to Jin Jie's house to freshen up.  We decided to stay 2 days in Kuantan since Jia Liang wanted to hike the Rainbow Waterfall. It was one of my life goals too but I wanted to go with Penny since we said it since form 5. I guess that'll have to be some other time. So, the first day of Kuantan was quite quiet. My road trip buddies! We laughed and talked all the way from KL to Kuantan th...

CNY Gathering

Image
This year, my college friends decided to have a gathering for CNY. We had one last year too at Nina's and they decided that it'll be nice if we had one more this year. It was also Jia Chyi;s birthday the day before, so we had a mini celebration for her as well. The turn up was great! Everyone from our foundation could make it and it has been sooo long since we all gathered together. Kwen and Aislynn were in charged of buying all the food while Jin and I were in charged of the Yee Sang, cake and dessert. Look at how much food they bought! It was more than enough and we couldn't finish them all. In the end, we had to play a game and the loser had to eat what we cooked for them. It was so torturing as all of us were full. At least we did not waste the food, we took home the leftovers. Happy birthday,  牛 牛! The closest girlfriends in college :) We don't really get to hang out much as a group, since we rarely meet but I'm glad that our friend...

4 hours trip to Melacca

Image
It was a Monday, 28th of October and we ended our class at 2pm. My college friends spontaneously asked me to accompany her to Melacca. She wanted to do a research and asked me to come along and I, being nosy, excitedly agreed :P So I went home to change and take my stuff and she came and picked me up. We started our journey around 3pm and reach at 4.45pm I think. The Baba Nyonya museum she wanted to visit was already closed so we went to this Mini Malaysia museum instead. Basically, they have traditional houses from all the states in Malaysia. It was really beautifully decorated. The friends :) Below are just the interior of the Malay houses I love how they created a space just for the congkak. It makes me happy to know how the people used to live last time- in a community. They would just gather in this space and play a match or two congkak game. Light. I LOVE THIS. I've always liked how lights pass through the carvings and leave...
